The Royal Rangers uniform is an important part of the Royal Rangers outpost. It creates a sense of unity and belonging, it develops responsibility and discipline, shows equality and promotes the program within the church.
It is, therefore, vital that Royal Rangers wear their uniform correctly and proudly. As parents ourselves, we the commanders know that it often becomes the burden of the parents to maintain the uniform. However, we encourage you to help your child develop responsibility to care for their own uniform and to know when they are supposed to wear it.
A Royal Ranger is eligible to wear the Royal Rangers uniform once they have completed the Recruit requirements. Children who have newly joined us will not need to make the Royal Rangers uniform until they have passed their Recruit stage.
The full uniform consists of the following:
- Khaki-coloured shirt with correctly sewn emblems
- Khaki-coloured long pants (culottes for girls)
- Khaki-coloured belt
- Bolo slide (Rangers are encouraged to make their own)
- Black or navy blue socks
- Black shoes
The Royal Rangers uniform is to be worn at every 1st and 3rd Sunday meetings and during official events and functions like the Council of Achievement.
